आज सम्पूर्ण भारतवर्ष में महाशिवरात्रि मनाई जा रही है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि महाशिवरात्रि के दिन भगवान शिव का विवाह हुआ था। शिवरात्रि पर भगवान शिव की विशेष पूजा अर्चना की जाती है
